What happens at the free first session?

You spend about an hour with a coach. You talk through your goals and any injuries, warm up together, learn two lifts and record your starting numbers. You leave with a recommendation for which program fits you.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. Every membership is month to month. You can pause or cancel with 30 days notice in the app.

I have never lifted. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Most new lifters start with Strength Foundations, six weeks in groups of four. You learn the squat, hinge, press and carry before you join a class.

I am over 50. Is this too intense for me?

No. About a third of our members are over 50. The 9am Strength 50+ class runs the same program with a longer warm up and slower progressions, and every lift has a scaled option.

Can I train with an old injury?

Usually, yes. Tell your coach about it on your first session. We modify lifts around it and work with your physical therapist if you have one. If something needs medical care, we will tell you to see a doctor first.

How big are the classes?

Ten people at most, always, with one coach. We tried twelve in 2020 and went back to ten within a month.

What should I bring?

Flat shoes or lifting shoes, clothes you can squat in and a water bottle. We have chalk, belts and every bar and plate you need.

Where do I park?

There is free parking in the lot behind the building after 6pm and on Saturdays. During the day, the Lot 4 garage is a two minute walk.

How do I book and cancel classes?

Members book in the app. You can cancel up to two hours before class without losing the session. Full classes have a waitlist that moves automatically.

Can I freeze my membership?

Yes. You can freeze for up to two months a year for travel, injury or a new baby. A freeze costs nothing.

Set 02/02Still unsure

Ask a coach in person.

The easiest way to get an answer is to come in. The first session is free and you can ask anything.
